Sprout Food's New Plant Protein Products

By Sponsored Content April 14, 2018

One of the challenges of raising a small boy that grows like a weed is feeding him the right nutrition to encourage his development. My son was given the chance to try Sprout’s new line of Plant Powered purees and snacks. One thing that differentiates Sprout from other baby food brands is that the new line provides vegetable-based protein from organic beans, lentils, and chickpeas. In addition, all of Sprout’s ingredients are USDA certified organic and non-GMO.

His favorite was the Sprout Organic Crinklez, puff-like snacks made of chickpeas, carrots, spinach, and beets. They come in two flavors: cheesy spinach and pumpkin carrot. I felt comfortable feeding him these as snacks.  While most other packaged baby snacks have little to no nutritional value, Sprout Crinklez contain ingredients that are healthy and nutritious. I will even admit to stealing more than a couple for myself. They are delicious.

James is almost 2 and is currently going through a phase where he is getting pickier about food. This makes it difficult to get a variety of healthy foods in him. For some reason he will always eat a pouch of food, no matter what is in it. His current favorite pouch is the Butternut Blueberry Apple with Beans

Sprout was the first company to introduce baby food in a pouch and they are also currently the only brand to have 100% clear packaging so parents can see the goodness in every pouch. Overall my son has enjoyed the various types of products in Sprouts line and all the various flavors.

I received compensation for this review along with samples of various Sprout products.
